- The gauze/cotton pressure pack placed at the site of extraction should be removed after 30 to 45minutes of extraction.
- Swallow the saliva in the mouth , do not let accumulate it in the mouth.
- After removing the pressure pack patient can have water, juice, plain ice-creams, coconut water, cold milk.
- DO NOT use straws while taking any beverages.
- AVOID HOT beverages and food for upto 24 hours.
- Patient can have room temperature semi - solid food like soji, dal rice etc. after 3 to 4 hours of extraction.
- Do NOT spit or gargle vigorously upto 24hours after extraction.
- Do NOT check the extraction site with tongue.
- Avoid chewing food from the side where extraction is done for 4 to 5 days.
- Avoid Smoking , kharra, ghutka, pan, tobacco, drinking of alcohol for at least 25 days after extraction.
- Follow the medication schedule prescribed by the dentist.
- Brushing and cleaning of overall teeth and teeth near the extraction site can be followed on regular basis.
- Any profuse bleeding if noticed contact immediately to your dentist.
